What People Are Saying

“We’re Disney Vacation Club members and Disney’s Boardwalk Villas is one of our two home resorts (the other being Old Key West). Despite having the choice of the two resorts, we always choose the Boardwalk as our first choice for many reasons, the proximity to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, the nightlife and the spacious rooms and great views. First the proximity. The back entrance to EPCOT, through the International Gateway, is a five minute walk from the hotel. Hollywood Studios is a bit of a longer walk, perhaps 15 minutes, but it’s a relaxing walk along the canal. Of course there is transportation to both, using the Friendship boats that constantly loop between the two parks, stopping at the EPCOT area resorts on the way. Buses take you to Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom, plus Downtown Disney, and the two water parks.

The rooms are spacious, as you would expect from a Vacation Club accommodation. There are studios, one, two and three-bedroom suites. The suites have a living area and full kitchen. Even the studios are big for hotel rooms and have a microwave and mini-fridge. If you can get a room with a view of the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake, do it. Oh yes, the pool. Called the Luna Pool, it is a huge pool with its main feature being the clown water slide. One of the biggest complaints is the long hallway that seems to go on forever. After a day walking the parks it can seem that way, but just ask for a room near the elevator and you’ll be fine.

You’ll never go hungry since the Boardwalk offers multiple dining choices including the ESPN Club, the Flying Fish, The Big River Brewing Company and Kouzzina (although that is soon to close and be replaced by an Italian themed restaurant). For lighter fare, there’s the Boardwalk Bakery and the Pizza Window for quick take out.

When you’re done with the parks, your night isn’t over. There is a lot of activity on the Boardwalk, including Boardwalk type games, street performers and then there is the Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls. For the sports enthusiasts, you have the ESPN Club.”
